i get to play with colored pencils

i love being a 4th grade teacher.
i get to be around creative little people all day.
i get to write poems and draw pictures.
i get to take photographs and sing songs.
i get to teach kids things they didn't know -
the magic of math, the joy of reading.
i get to share my passions for nature, for learning, for discovering new things...
i get to paint and dance and laugh out loud..
i get to play with colored pencils.
