doris - my friend and fellow camera geek

i love my friend doris. we share so many things - love of photography, scrapbooking, travel, nature. we regularly schedule artistic outings - to museums, conservatories, aviaries, ZOOs! we hang out at cord camera just for FUN! we are camera geeks! we get up at 6 am to go on bird watching hikes! we are two peas in a pod! we have messy houses but keep one very clean window for purpose of bird viewing and photographing! we are bird geeks! we outlast all other visitors in the steamy butterfly exhibits, take 100s of pictures and then relish in viewing them on tiny camera screens all the way home! we are nature freaks! we stay at the zoo from the time it opens to the time it closes. we push little kids out of the way in order to get the amazing shot of the momma elephant bathing her little baby! we hang out at yoctangee park and step in goose poop just to get close to the baby swans. doris allowed herself to be attacked by the father snow goose just so i could get a great shot of the baby under the mother goose wing! what an amzing shot! what an amazing friend! and we both have bits of A.D.D. which serves us well in conversation that takes us hopping from stories about our marvelous Dads to multiple intelligence to the fat grams in Culver's frozen custard! we talk about our contacts on flickr like we know them personally and often dream of starting our own naturebirdscrapbookingphotography business. doris loves and accepts me for who i am - i don't have to walk carefully or censor thoughts with her or she with me. our outings are both adventurous and relaxing. we encourage one another to stretch toward our potential and be all that God intended for us to be. her iron sharpens mine. sometimes i call her just to talk about a picture i just edited....and she always seems happy that i called. she is one of the wittiest people i know. she comes up with the BEST titles for photos!
