i rarely do self-portraits. and since i am the picture taker in most situations - there aren't a lot of pictures of me in our family scrapbooks.so i took this picture of myself after church today.
this week i discovered i am diabetic....for those of you who know what this means (i didn't until this week), my glucose levels are consistently over 300 - whether i have fasted or not. I realize i have had this for a while but have misinterpreted what might be causing my symptoms.
this is the not so good news....
but here's some AMAZING GOOD NEWS -
my 5 year cancer free mark is coming up soon and i am filled with gratitude. So many people have prayed for me and I consider my survival a miracle.
so i won't let this new diabetes thing get me down.
Looking through my camera lens, i am constantly reminded of just how awesome He is.
Life is sweet (along with my blood sugar!)

I guess I won't be the only one making changes in my diet. Most of my "new" food is sugar-free too, so maybe we can concoct some yummy creations together. I love you and will be praying for you.
