today my sweet friend glenda emailed me to tell me about the gorgeous fungi growing in her yard and in the surrounding woods and to invite me out to view and of course, photograph them. i went out there the first chance i could get away. i couldn't wait to see the mushrooms - but mainly, i wanted to just visit with glenda.her house is incredible - tucked away in the woods. i want to rent a room! being at her home is like being on vacation in vermont!! totally surrounded by woods, peaceful, wildlife, colorful MUSHROOMS!! glenda and jim's place is a little piece of heaven.
glenda showed me several different varieties of mushrooms that she had discovered on her morning stroll - huge curly tangerine ones, velvety red ones, spiky ones - and she just knew i would appreciate their beauty like she had.
and i did.
