a daring adventure

i LOVE this quote from helen keller.

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature,
nor do the children of men as a whole experience it.
Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure.
Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.
To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits
in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable."

oh the things we do just to "avoid" danger or pain - rather than facing it squarely.
i can honestly say i want to feel it all - the hurt, the pleasure, the pain, the joy.....i am eliminating my creative anesthetics, one by one, and experiencing life in the raw.
man, it's messy and exhilarating simultaneously.

i'm all about the daring adventure.
