laura, mary, kim and i saw the incredible, entertaining broadway show Wicked. usually julie p. goes with us to the broadway shows, but alas, she was a sweetie and took her mom and sister to see it. here's a brief synopsis of the show:"Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. How these two unlikely friends end up as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch makes for the most spellbinding new musical in years."
The four of us concurred that it was one of the best shows we had ever seen. we didn't want it to end! after the show, as always, we hung out by the back stage door to get autographs.
well, actually mary and kim are the ones who got autographs. laura and i just stood on the sidelines and laughed! it's so much fun watching these two get autographs. kim becomes very aggressive in obtaining those autographs, especially with the cute guys. it's a side of kim most people don't see!! she can weave in and out of the crowd like a stealth cheetah, maneuvering her way to her prey!
now mary has a more "playin' it cool" approach, but gets just as many autographs. mary will pose for the camera with these handsome young men actors - she tries to convince us that she only hugs them because of her "mother instinct"! heehee. what a swell time!
and then to top off our perfect evening, we all had several sliders from white castle...which always seems like the right thing to do at the time, but becomes quite regrettable a few hours later.
